DETAIL DESIGN

The Detailed Design stage of work builds on the Developed Design stage preparing a set of drawings, specifications and schedules, allowing a building consent to be applied for and the pricing process of the building works to commence. Subcontractors will also provide their final design documentation for building consent; this is then complied and coordinated to allow for formal submission. This often equates to 50% of the whole design process. All the information and specifications for the products used in the project need to be noted, sized, coordinated and checked against all the relevant building codes and standards.
